Starlene is a partner at Alves|Santos, PC and has over a decade of legal experience. Prior to starting the firm, Starlene was a solo practitioner servicing the SouthCoast area with a primary focus in estate planning, personal injury and entertainment law. She especially has a passion working with emerging talent drafting and negotiating recording and producer agreements, talent agreements and brand ambassador contracts.
She began her legal career at the Law Office of Moira E. Tierney, a boutique Domestic Relations firm based in the New England area and remained at the firm for nearly eleven years. During her time there, Starlene represented a variety of clients from different cultural backgrounds in divorce, support and custody matters as well as personal injury and estate planning. Starlene also played an integral part in the firm's day-to-day operations and often provided innovative solutions for policy and procedure.
While attending law school, Starlene interned for the Honorable Dortch-Okara during both her criminal session at Bristol County Superior Court and civil session at Norfolk County Superior Court. During her time with Honorable Dortch-Okara, Starlene was able to hone her writing and research skills.
Starlene's goal has always been to give back to her community and to provide legal services to those in need. Starlene focuses much of her practice in transactional matters including contract review and real estate - helping those in underrepresented communities understand their legal rights and obligations. Starlene believes that the best law to practice is "happy law" and assisting clients with buying their first home or investment property always leaves both her and her clients with a smile on their faces!

Sania is a partner at Alves|Santos, PC and concentrates her practice on litigation, including personal injury, real estate transactions and employment discrimination. Before starting the firm, Sania was an Associate at the Flynn Wirkus Young, PC, a civil litigation firm in Quincy, Massachusetts, where she was involved in insurance defense, personal injury, employment discrimination and domestic relations.
Prior to joining FWY, Sania practiced in the Greater Boston area and volunteered at the Court Service Center in the Edward W. Brooks Courthouse Court. There, she assisted pro se litigants in understanding court rules and procedures for divorce, guardianship, custody and support actions.
Sania continues to volunteer her legal expertise by presenting at First-Time Homebuyer Workshops in Brockton. As a real estate closing attorney, Sania takes the time to ensure that potential homebuyers in our community have a comprehensive understanding of the closing process as they work towards purchasing their dream home.
As Partners at Alves | Santos, P.C., we hope to continue advancing the knowledge of the members of our community who wish to purchase, sell or refinance their real estate investments. We aim to provide a real estate closing experience that goes well beyond signing on the dotted line.
